Hello!
My name is Hex Adams and I’m an Associate Level Designer based in Seattle who’s been working on an unannounced game at Bend Studio since September, 2022.
Way back when I was a kid, I had a spark of love for interesting spaces and fascinating places. There’s an inherent wonder to the constructed and natural world around us and I’ve been enamored by exploring it for as long as I can remember.
This wonder has served me well as a level and world designer—roles where my entire job is to learn from the natural and built environment around us all, and translate them into interactive locations and their gameplay sequences that players can explore and enjoy!

Encounter Design Solo Project
An action-focused, combat encounter gameplay sequence for Half-Life: Alyx anchored around the player experiencing varying degrees of difficulty and agency over their situation resulting from their own actions' knock-on effects.
Made in Source 2 / Hammer during Spring 2022
Project Nautilus
World Designer and Product Owner
A first-person exploration game where the player operates a drone delving underwater into ancient abyssal caverns for a large megacorporation. As the player dives deeper, they uncover much more than what was initially implied.
